What does a custom home builder do that a general contractor does not?

A general contractor manages the trades on a project someone else has designed and specified. A custom home builder owns the whole outcome: design, plans, budget, permits, scheduling, construction, and the final walk-through, with one team accountable from start to finish. With Bear Homes that includes connecting you with preferred lenders and helping you settle a realistic budget before anything is signed.

Do you build on my lot?

Yes. We build on your lot across the Treasure Valley. If you already own land, or you are looking at a lot and want a builder's read on it before you commit, talk to us.

Where do you build?

Across the Treasure Valley, Idaho: Boise, Meridian, Nampa, Caldwell, New Plymouth, and Wilder. We also have our own community, Harvest Creek in New Plymouth.

Can I customize one of your floor plans?

Yes. Every plan on the site is a starting point, not stock. Start from one and change what you need, or work with us on a complete design-build from scratch. We will create a plan that fits your needs, budget, style, and schedule.

Can I visit a finished Bear Homes home before deciding?

Yes. Our Harvest Creek model home at 428 Autumn Blaze Street in New Plymouth is open Saturdays from 11 AM to 4 PM. You can also walk our completed homes on this site in photos, video and 3D.

Do you have move-in-ready homes for sale?

Our focus is building from scratch, so we do not keep an inventory of quick move-in homes. Homes are selling at our Harvest Creek community in New Plymouth, starting from the $300s. If you want something already standing, that is the place to look.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes. Bear Homes is a fully licensed and insured company, building in the Treasure Valley since 2002 with more than 500 projects completed.
